Maryland, etc.

10.5.11 - Odenton, Maryland - Eunice and I went up to Maryland to visit her family. We drove up and stopped in Poquoson to see people. As you might imagined, not much had changed, which I suppose is nice. On Monday we went into D.C. to see the new Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial along the Tidal Basin. It was cool, though as my friend Matt pointed out later he "kind of looks like Han Solo frozen in carbonite." Anyway, it was a good trip and these are the photos.

I made Eunice stop in Lexington, N.C. at Lexington Barbecue for lunch. Pretty good chopped pork.
Sweet tea.
We saw the Baughmans in Poquoson and Bruce gave us a tour of his new school bus/rv.
We saw Diane in Hampton and got to catch up with her and the cats. The cats, somewhat willingly...
...somewhat unwillingly, posed for portraits. Thanks, Leroy.
Lunch in Fredericksburg.
MLK, Jr. Memorial.
