Los Cañones

05.27.10 - Ourense, Spain - I went with my Spanish class on a field trip to the canyons in south eastern Galicia. They are quite dramatic. We toured the countryside of the Ribeira Sacra all day stopping in various towns to see the sights.

The Canyons. We were traveling with some crazy Senegalese guys who liked to climb on things.
A Parador outside Ourense.
The first language is Galego, followed by Spanish and of course, English.

Jeff Adrien plays for CB Breogan in Lugo, Spain

01.15.10 - Lugo, Spain - I spent six or seven days with Jeff Adrien of Brookline, Mass. and captain of last year's Final Four UConn men's basketball team in September/October last year shooting a story on his experiences playing for Leche Rio CB Breogan of the second division Spanish league LEB Oro. Jeff's working hard to find his way in professional basketball and was kind enough to allow me to hang out with him in Lugo for a few days.

Here are the best 11 (we'll call it the Big Ten) images from the story. The article and story appeared in the Boston Herald in December.

Best,

Will

Red Sox v. Yankees

7.27.08 - Boston, Mass. - Wasn't the best series for Boston (even Mike Lowell got ejected), but Leann Rimes did sing the national anthem on Friday and Julio Lugo signed the Green Monster in a guest appearance at the Monster Mash, sponsored by the Red Sox Foundation.

Lowell takes exception to umpire Marty Foster's called third strike at the end of the Sox 1-0 loss, Friday.
