Boston College v. UMass-Lowell

02.13.09 - Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Lowell thrashed BC 6-0 in a showdown between 4 and 5 in the Hockey East on Friday. I'm not particularily fond of either school, but to pretend I'm not biased, we'll say that it was hard fought until the last period when BC wet the bed. Whoops, that last bit slipped. But who can argue? 4 goals in 20 minutes in an ass-whooping no matter how it shakes out. Middle photo ran.

2009 Beanpot Championship - Boston University v. Northeastern

02.09.09 - Boston, Mass. - #1 Boston University beat #2/3 Northeastern 5-2 for the 2009 Beanpot Championship at the TD Banknorth Garden on Monday night. The Terriers took home their 29th 'pot and the Huskies continued their 22 year drought. Good pictures.

Ref Scott Hansen took one in the face and had to leave the game. 
Strangest picture of the year. Luckily Northeastern goalie Brad Theissen isn't dead. 
Yip, however, was almost killed by two Northeastern defenders who took exception to Yip placing his stick in Theissen helmet. 
Northeastern forward McNeely ties the game at 2-2 in the second. 
Bonino puts BU up 2-1 in the second. He took home MVP honors. 

2009 Beanpot - Boston College v. Harvard

02.09.09 - Boston, Mass. - BC beat Harvard 4-3 in the 2009 Beanpot Consolation game. I mostly shot it for fun. Last year these two teams were in the final and played an equally competitive match. Benn Ferriero played hero for BC scoring with less than 2 minutes left.

Northeastern v. Providence College

01.24.09 - The No. 3 Northeastern Huskies played host to Hockey East bottom dwellers, Providence College. After a knock-down-drag-out first period, Northeastern weathered the storm and won 6-3, sweeping the Friars in the weekend series.

Boston University v. Boston College

12.06.08 - Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Got to shoot the BU v. BC game on Saturday. An excellent affair that featured BU students beginning the game with a "Let's go Hokies!" chant to comemorate Virginia Tech's ACC Championship victory over BC earlier that day. To correct for my potential bias, I submitted this photo of Colin Wilson getting an earful of stick from BC's Ben Ferriero.

Boston University v. North Dakota

10.10.08 - The rout was on as No. 8 BU leveled No. 5 North Dakota 5-1 in their first game of the season at the 2008 NCAA Icebreaker Invitational at Agganis Arena. It was good to be back in "The Greek" (Bill Simmonsesque attempt at a nickname, might catch on, let's see), and even better to see BU play well. 

It was a bad weekend for NoDak who lost to UMass 3-2 the following night to start off 0-2.
