Staples (pronounced Palladino) Wedding - Part 7

7.19.08 - Philadelphia Pa. - The reception at Vesuvio's was marked by a giant cannoli (not pictured, sorry), free Guiness and some excellent dance moves.

I would like to thank the families and all of their friends for providing the excellent moments and more importantly, trusting me to shoot one of the most important days in their lives.

Thanks to all (for reading and taking part),

Will

7.19.08 - Philadelphia, Pa. - The procession from Fleisher Art Gallery to Vesuvio's for the reception was only about four blocks, but included some crazy parasols, a crazy homeless guy, soap bubbles and 95 degree heat. Totally worth it.

Grace trying to leave without Eric.
Eric having none of that.
Yes, that's a blue linen suit with an orange shirt and yellow shoes. Take notes.

Staples (pronounced Palladino) Wedding - Part 5

7.19.08 - Philadelphia, Pa. - After the wedding and a bit of meeting and greeting, everyone returned to the sanctuary for a toast and some dancing.

Eric's best man, Pat, delivers a toast to the bride and groom.

Staples (pronounced Palladino) Wedding - Part 4

7.19.08 - Philadelphia, Pa. - Ceremony shots. The wedding was in a defunct sanctuary at the Fleisher Art Gallery in South Philly. The gallery kept the sanctuary in tact, but built an art gallery and school on the front part of it. After the wedding guests gathered in the gallery for some wine.

Eric.
Eric's sister Amanda read the vows.
Bob gave out some gifts, most notably this painting and two Steagles shirts from the 1943 team that won the NFL Championship with players from the Eagles and Steelers when neither had enough to field a full team. The shirts symbolized compromise.
A kiss.

Staples (pronounced Palladino) Wedding - Part 2

7.18.08 - Philadelphia, Pa. - The rehearsal dinner the night before was at a small Italian/Spanish restaurant in South Philly called Corina's. I ate my weight in paella and snapped a few shots in between.

Staples (pronounced Palladino) Wedding - Part 1

7.17.08 - Upper Darby, Pa. - Last weekend I shot the wedding of two friends, Eric Staples and Grace Palladino. I spent several nights with them and their families as part photographer, part wedding attendee.

A couple nights before we had a lot of grilled fish and made the "final" plans for the wedding on Saturday, including walking practice.

Anna and Ben walk "normal."

Bowling

07.10.08 - Malden, MA - Shot some celebrity bowling for the Josh Beckett Foundation at the Town Line Bowling Center. The stars were out, at least anyone who plays sports in Boston was, including several of the Red Sox.

Javy Lopez celebrates a strike.
Josh Beckett greats some kids from his foundation.
DMC of Run DMC. I think that's right at least.

Back in Beantown

7.5.08 - Boston, MA - I shot Latino Day at Fenway Park as my first assignment back from the rainforest. Some excellent breakdancing and local reggaetone (sp?) were the highlights.

Breakdancing outside of Gate B. After taking this picture I ran down and totally did a better move than this guy, super-double flips and stuff. But he was OK, you know, for an amateur.
